Avi is licensed lawyer since 1999 and has served as an investigative officer of the past 18 years.

Avi has handed investigations into the works of white collar criminals, public figures, organized crime and money launderers in the Israeli police's national units. Avi has served as the leader of the most prominent in these fields.

In 2017 Avi took upon himself the command of the National Cyber Unit, a unit is engaged in cybercrime intelligence, investigations and R&D using advanced and customized technological tools.
