
Marc van Zadelhoff is the General Manager for IBM Security, the largest enterprise security company in the world, with revenues of$2B and over 8,000 employees.
Before taking over as head of the IBM Security business, a business he helped IBM architect several years ago, Marc was Vice President, Strategy, Marketing and Product Management for the division.
In his leadership role, Marc continues to help clients around the world develop a security strategy and employ the best technologies to meet their specific security needs. He is responsible for leading the IBM Security team in the development, sales and delivery of software and services offerings that protect enterprises with intelligent, integrated security solutions and expertise.
With more than 20 years of experience in strategy, venture capital, business development and marketing in both IT and security, Marc has held various leadership roles in M&A, product management and marketing as part of IBM Software and IBM Global Services.
Marc joined IBM in 2007 as part of the acquisition of Consul, a Dutch-based security software start-up, where he served as an executive. Prior to Consul, Marc worked in IT venture capital in Amsterdam and strategy consulting with assignments in North America and Europe.
Marc received an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Business and a BA in Economics from Bowdoin College. He lives outside of Boston with his wife and three daughters.
